The study utilises secondary data, as seen in various articles and studies conducted on this subjects. It attempts to build the strategy for successful implementation based on experience in India till now and lessons learnt from its implementation in various developing economies. The study also draws on the standard concepts of marketing as prevalent in the field of management, today, and utilises them to draw policy implications for the Ministry of Railways. - Reproduced.
