Indian Journal of Public AdministrationSummary: Even though there are positive developments in the agriculture sector, the sector is still constrained by several challenges, like, declined public capital formation, relatively lesser growth, inadequate diversification and value additions, inadequate infrastructure, high incidence of rural poverty, unemployment, etc. National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) in association with Government of India and Reserve Bank of India has been taking a number of initiatives to deal with these challenges through various policy measures. - Reproduced.
