Performance indicators have been adopted for more than 200 Departments, which are monitored monthly, quarterly and annually by the Chief Minister and at the levels of Ministers and Secretaries to Government. the indicators are drilled down to the lowest jurisdictions and also functionaries, who are assigned monthly and cumulative grades based on measurement of performance with respect to set targets. Andhra Pradesh intends to use performance measurement as a tool to drive the state towards achieving the Vision 2020 goals. - Reproduced.
