But is needs to be stressed that the country cannot progress unless the people are educated enough to be aware of their problems and are able to take up suitable activities to improve their lot. The initiatives in the direction of universal education and total literacy can lead to realisation of ambitious development programms in all other sectors in the longer run. - Reproduced.
