Simply put, economy and society have witnessed rapid transformation, more so in recent years and in ways quite unimaginable a few decades from now. There is a big question mark regarding our preparedness as a society and as a nation to the changes that have swept all spheres of lives and activities. The real issue today is: are the public services, on the right track? Is the executive arm of government sufficiently concerned and caring about the needs of the citizens and the under-privileged? Is excellence in public service being pursued with a strong enough determination? - Reproduced.
