It enhances accountability, responsiveness and transparency in the delivery of services and also checks corruption. Information technology provides greater transparency in government operations. The process of IT and e-governance is simple, easy, inexpensive, and open to a vast array of information and services. they help to enhance the quality of public services. They help to enhance the quality of public service provision to the poor, downtrodden, and marginalised sections of the society and also to the women and rural people. - Reproduced.
