In this scenario development of physical and social infrastructure is a critical factor. More than just creating the infrastructure through financial resources, it is important to design, implement and manage these programmes. Expansion of infrastructure in recent times has been significant. In order to meet the need for expansion of the infrastructure, the existing public resources have proved to be inadequate. Therefore, the need for private participation in conceptualisation, development, monitoring and delivery of the services and facilities has become essential. this need has been internationally recognised. - Reproduced.
