Material type: materialTypeLabelArticlePublisher: 2010Description: p.442-460.Subject(s): Development studies | Educational systems In: Indian Journal of Public AdministrationSummary: Social sciences are aimed at including the faculties that provide humans with the means to resolve their problems in an informed and reasoned manner. Besides being soundly educated citizens we seek appropriate ethical goals: goals based on reliable knowledge abut the human condition rather than on mythological absolutes; practical goals capable of being achieved by well-tested, step-by-step strategies.
