Medical tourism is one such emerging area that is ripe with potential. Developing as a common forum of vacationing with a broad spectrum of medical services, it has taken roots as a combination of leisure, relaxation and healthcare. This article focuses on the worldwide trends in medical tourism vis-�-vis medical tourism in India. In a comparative overview it highlights the major roadblocks to this emerging service industry in India and discusses prospect of medical tourism in India.
