Citizen participation is sine qua non for effective governance and instrumental for societal harmony. The article seeks to find out role and impact of select administrative programmes, Janmabhoomi, Joint Forest Management, PRI interventions, etc. Objectives of the article are: 1) to examine institutional framework for citizen participation and whether it has benefited, 2) to assess the factors that will stimulate citizen participation 3) to find out impact of citizen participation modules and developmental finances in creating harmonious society. - Reproduced.
