HR professionals need to demonstrate required competences to address the issues and challenges. The purpose of this study is to find out the extent of demonstration of HR competencies by HR professionals while discharging their roles and responsibilities. The data collected from 594 executives representing different organisations in India, using a questionnaire, forms the basis for the study. The study finds that HR professionals often demonstrate credible activist competency.
