In recognition of their core significance, this note (as part of a larger study) explores the levels of commitment to them by councillors in a municipality in the Philippines. It does this in terms of a five-point Likert scale which enables the levels to be calculated using various qualitative data and insights. The levels are found largely to be moderate to high, suggesting a firm commitment overall, but with more action being essential to ensure its reflection in high levels of actual adherence. - Reproduced. aAccountability aLocal government aAsia Pacific Journal of Public Administration a116234 c116228d116228 00104070aIIPAbIIPAd2018-07-19hVolume no: 39, Issue no: 3pAR116694r2018-07-19w2018-07-19yAR
