Administrative information systems in the Japanese government some reflections on issues and solutions
The article discusses the computerized administrative information systems in the Japanese government. Administrative information systems are an integral part of the bureaucracy which has rapidly developed with the pace of computerization. The computer applications in the national government include daily routine business with nation-wide network and decision-making in the government. Though the system have considerable merits but also raise serious problems, but author has put forward certain suggestions to resolve these problems, in order to achieve proper public administration in a highly informatized society
