Municipal finance in Orissa: a case study of Berhampur municipality 

<br/><br/> The article studies municpal finance of Orissa in general and Berhampur municipality in particular. It analyses the role of finance and its various dimensions in municipal administration. Berhampur is the oldest municipality in Orissa. The author discusses the revenue and expenditure structure of the municipality. It analyses the budgeting audit and accounts keeping of the municipality and shows that the slow growth of developmental worker is due to the scarcity of financial resources. Explains the drawback in tax administration and collection system
