Formal service land development: case study of Delhi
Since independence land in and around Delhi has witnessed four distinct periods: pre-independence (prior to 1947) post-independence (1947-57), freezing of development (1957-67), and planned development and peripheral growth (1967 onwards). In this paper the land resource in and around Delhi are reviewed within their historical context out of this historical perspective, is developed a typology of residential land sub-systems. Based on this typology is examined the price structure for land and the availability of land for future development. Reproduced.
