  <abstract>The article reviews the recommendations of the National Academy of Public Administration (NAPA) study of the Federal Position Classification system. The study was undertaken to improve federal management system. The NAPA report suggests to evaluate the model before implementing it and it would be better to update the classification system than redesign it.</abstract>
