It notes that the amended Act already contained certain provisions which, with further amendments, was very close to the provisions of the 74th Constitution Amendment. Yet another feature of the amended law is that instead of enacting a specific Act for Municipal Corporations, the amended law itself provides for the creation of Municipal Corporations.
