After examining various approaches and traits of productivity of personnel and their relevance to governmental setting and nature of services, the author argues devising an approach to involve all workers in job fulfilment through a cooperative team spirit. He analyses efforts of Karnataka Government's DPAR and, basing on issues emerging from the Department's several work studies, offers a number of suggestions to enhance productivity in government. - Reproduced
