To facilitate this process, he provides a review of some of the forces and issues - such as developments in information technology and realities of living in a global village - which are shaping public management today. Consistent with current strategic management thinking, the author discusses six common clusters of issues, which exist in internal and external environments of many government agencies, and their implications.
