This paper endeavours to throw some light on the myths that surround decision-making and organisation structure, especially those that assume hierarchical processes as the only means compatible with efficiency and efficacy, as well as offer an analysis of some strategies of non-hierarchical functioning. This is attempted at, through the experiences of a women's collective in organisational practice over more than a decade of working towards social change, particularly with reference to the women's position. - Reproduced
