This type of research paper is needed specially in the non-coal public sector where much yet remain to be done for improving the operational efficiency of the sector. This paper has been carried out to analyze the wage-productivity relationship in India non-coal sector which consists of 43 minerals i.e., Iron ore, Gold, Bauxite, Manganese oil Mica etc. as per the year book, Statistics of Mines in India issued by the Directorate General of Mines Safety, Dhanbad. The non-coal public sector in India are oil, gold, copper, lead & zinc. Therefore the purpose of this research paper is to study about these particular public sectors.
