Business Ethics has become a topic of concern over the years throughout the world because businesses are realizing that unethical misconduct by management can be extremely costly for the company and society as a whole. Since the early 1970s, society has developed the attitude that corporations must react to problems created by their own actions. This attitude has supported the idea that corporations should be proactive, they should respond to a wide range of social problems because they have the expertise and power to do so. Therefore, there is an increasing public interest in understanding the nature of corporate ethics on the knowledge and belief that unethical decisions and activities frequently undermine the performance and abilities of many organizations. Many educational institutions and business enterprises have a strong interest in the subject, particularly from the practical viewpoint of creating an ethical culture in business that have substantial practical effects. The paper, therefore, carefully explores the various dimensions of corporate ethics and social responsibility, corporate codes of ethics and ethical framework and thereby attempts to further address the issue of ethics in the modern business world. - Reproduced
