<br/><br/> The primary goal was to design hygienic sanitation system for rural India, which avoids direct discharge of excreta into the nearby water bodies or on to the open lands. Dry-san toilet a dry sanitation system is based on natural process of aerobic decomposition converting waste material into a resource (fertiliser from  urine and manure from soiled waste) for the farmer.
