Although India’s income per capita growth rate is higher compared to other south Asian courtiers. It is still behind them in terms of progress in social indicators. Furthermore, a majority of the deprived population is concentrated in India. The main objective of the paper is to measure poverty in multidimensional context based on the Consumer expenditure survey (CES) data provided by the national sample survey origination (NSSO) for 50th 61th and 68the rounds. – Reproduced
