The school environment plays a key role in thwarting and nurturing mental health among students. The present study examines the relationship between victimisation experiences and psychological problems. The study also explores the relationship between teacher-student relationships and psychological problems. A sample of 200 students comprising 100 males and 100 females in the age group 12 to 16 years was used. One-way ANOVA and hierarchical multiple regression analyses were carried out. Overt victimisation, relational victimisation and teacher humiliation positively predicted psychological problems. Overt victimisation was consistently related to both internalising problems and externalising problems among adolescents. The findings have implications for school-based interventions aimed at fostering resilience among students. – Repropduced
