Backed by good monsoon and timely interventions by the   government the agriculture sector registered a growth  of 3.6 per cent in 2020.21, which improved to 3.9 per cent in 2021-22. As the largest employer of workforce, the sector contributed a sizeable 18.85 per cent in (2021-22 in grass value added (GVA) of the country. Simultaneous buoyant growth in allied sector, namely animal husbandry, dairying, and fisheries also helped the agriculture sector perform well. – Reproduced
