<br/><br/> While today is justly defined as the age of AIwhich is as revolutionary as the other remarkable inventions of the 20th C such as mobile phones and the Internet and which in the next five years will further revolutionize ‘the way people work, learn, educate themselves, travel, receive health care’ as Bill Gates foresees and which will play a pivotal role in Industries and Business affairs, it will not be far from the shocking truth to define our Age as the Age of Violence, considering the overarching centrality of violence in our lives. This is no exaggeration, no criticism, no defeatism, but a statement of stark reality as we read the news Headlines about “Another shooting in a US school. Three kids’ and three adults’ life snuffed out, the 89th violent killing in the three months of 2023 in the US alone.” It is also truthful though the unpleasant fact that, we open the newspapers every morning with nervous trepidation to read about ghastly crimes in different parts of the world including India. – Reproduced
