India is one of the developing countries with a demographic advantage recognized almost two decades ago. However, has India been able to transform this demographic advantage into human capital to achieve an inclusive and sustainable economic growth? In this paper we are trying to look at the strengths of our existing workforce, identify the gaps existing in the reach of our social programs for enhancing the educational and skill levels of our workforce of the future, and the path to be followed for building our potential human capital for achieving a faster and equitable distribution of the benefits of economic growth.- Reproduced
