The urban local bodies are also directly responsible for the achievement of more than two third of parameters of 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. The functions and services provided by municipal governments are, therefore, vital for creating healthy, livable and sustainable communities. This paper highlights various benefits of creating awareness and suggests strategies for creating such awareness for sustainable municipal services.
