Poor sleep can negatively impact an individual’s mental health and well-being, especially during early adulthood. The present study aims to understand the influence of sleep on the psychological well-being of young adults. The Ryff’s Psychological Well-Being Scale was used to assess psychological well-being and the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was used to assess sleep quality. The results showed that good quality sleepers had higher psychological well-being. Negative correlations were observed between Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index scores and psychological well- being. The implications of the study with regard to health and psychological well-being are discussed in the article.Reproduced
