<br/><br/> In addition to the cumulative shortage of technology-driven mechanised system, acute shortage of skilled personnel power in railways has resulted in a grave situation in rail safety. Presently, 2,74,000 posts are lying vacant in different zonal rail¬ways out of which 1,70,000 posts are di¬rectly associated with rail safety.
