  <abstract>The textile industry in India has a rich history dating back centuries and is the second largest employment generating sector in the country after agriculture. Weaving is a time honored craft that has been practiced by different cultures around the world for centuries. The PM Mitra Mega textile park scheme 2023, with an allocation of Rs. 4,446 crore for seven states, aims to provide an integrated textile value chain and generate about twenty-one Lakh new employment opportunities. – Reproduced  </abstract>
