It highlights current characteristics and the fast pace of change in modern war fighting, accelerated by rapid technological developments. Emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and quantum and the military application of commercial ones have led to multi-domain forms of conflict, blurring the differentiation between national and societal lines and leading to a constant state of contestation.
