It was in the Year 1987 and 1992 that the phrase 'sustainable development' gained prominence. Over time, the broader goals of 'social justice, the rational use of environment, or human well-being' were discussed as being essential. While India's Vision of the SDGs is comprehensive and aspirational, the current national and international context demands ad additional focus on human wee- being. This research paper undertakes a theoretical and analytical research design, based on secondary data, to look at the possibility of reconciling Sustainable Development with Human well- being and analysis the Trajectory of India's SDG Vision in this direction.
