<br/><br/> The moidams of Charaideo, the royal burial mounds of the Ahom dynasty (13th–19th centuries), represent a distinctive funerary tradition in Assam. On 26 July 2024, UNESCO recognised the moidams at Charaideo as North East India’s first cultural World Heritage Site.
