A study on understanding the cafe coffee business in India - ASCI Journal of Management - 53(1&2), Mar & Sep., 2024: p.1-16

There's no denying that urban India's changing lifestyles have boosted the country's coffee cafe culture. The growing influence of globalization among significant sections of urban India can be attributed to the changes in lifestyles. This influence has spread beyond India's metropolises to the country's tier-II and tier-III cities, and the fact is that large sections of urban India, which is becoming more nuclear, donot have the time to prepare elaborate meals at home. To save time, they would prefer to have a snack and a coffee for lunch at cafes. The increase in disposable incomes in a few nut significant increase in coffee consumption over the last decade, may have contributed to this ongoing trend by providing momentum. Cafe, coffee cafe, and bakery cafe chains in the country have emerged as meeting places for both students and corporations. Many people consider these slick locales to be ideal for both romantic rendezvous and business meetings. The purpose of this research is to determine the reasons for the growth and evolution of cafes in India, as well as the challenges that cafe owners face and potential solutions to these challenges.
