The FTA represents a landmark moment for India’s rural economy, especially the farm sector. With duty-free access, streamlined trade protocols, and protection for India’s unique agri-heritage, this agreement sets the stage for a quantum leap in agri-exports, value-added products, and rural prosperity. The outcome of the fact will be more income at the farm gate, with greater incentives for quality, packaging, and certification. The deal promotes job creation and rural prosperity, from farms to fisheries to food processing units to textile and leather units.- Reproduced
