Why is family planning women centric in south Indian states?

<br/><br/> <br/>Contraception plays a crucial role in reproductive health and population control, with methods available for both men and women. However, in south Indian states, family planning is predominantly women-centric, with heavy reliance on female sterilisation and minimal male participation. This article is based on the National Family Health Survey-5 2019–21.
