Early childhood car and education (ECCE) represents an integrated approach to ensuring that children are school ready, emotionally resilient and developmentally on tracked. Early childhood development is the key to upholding the right of every child to survive and thrive. To enable this, adequate nutrition interventions as well as early stimulation are equally important. The 86th constitutional amendment act, 2002, by substituting a new article 45, directing the state to “endeavourer to provide early childhood car and education for all children until they complete the age of six years,” thereby recounting early childhood care and education (ECCE) as a state responsibility. – Reproduced
