<br/><br/> The Mission ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ cannot be achieved unless the states of Eastern India are developed. With this view in mind, the present paper attempts to assess the state of socio-economic development in Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha and West Bengal and specific features of economies of these states.
