<br/><br/> Homestays have merged as a significant driver of India’s tourism transformation fostering cultural exchange and inclusive economic growth. They effectively address  accommodation shortages while promoting community participation, women’s  entrepreneurship, and sustainable livelihoods. However, fragmented regulatory frameworks and limited digital integration hinder their full potential. NTI Aayog’s model hom stay policy framework advocates single window clearness, digital registration, and capacity building initiatives to streamline the sector. Strengthened through policy synergy and community engagement, homestays can become a pivotal pillar of India’s Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. – Reproduced
