<br/><br/> When the all India Muslim league first mooted the idea of Pakistan as a separate homeland for Muslims no one could have envisaged the far reaching political and cultural repercussion of the split. This idea vehemently advocated by Mohammad Ali Jinnah, seized the subcontinental imagination immediately, with Muslims either yearning or dreading to see it realised, and the Hindu majority conduced, skeptical can distrustful about its possibility. – Reproduced
