Khadi, India’s laconic hand spum and hand-woven fabric, has undergone profound transformation from its origins in ancient India to its contemporary relevance in sustainable global fashion. Historically associated with the Swadesh movement and Gandhian ideals of self reliance. Khadi experienced a period of stagnation. However, it has now re emerged as a premium, eco-conscious textile embraced by designers, policymakers, and consumers.
