<br/><br/> Recognition of Prior Learning, a key component of the Skill India Mission under the National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, 2015, seeks to formalise the skills of India’s vast informal workforce, which accounts for over 91% of the total employment. While RPL can enhance employability, economic mobility, and workforce productivity, its implementation remains constrained by regulatory misalignment, limited industry participation, low stakeholder awareness and high costs.
