At the essence of this dichotomy, the paper argues, is the inability, or unwillingness, of the chief proponents of the politics of social justice in Bihar to tackle the agrarian question and the iniquities of the prevailing systems of land and social control. The agenda of agrarian transformation must be included in the social justice movement in Bihar, for it to sustain itself and stay true to its own objectives.-Reproduced
