Urbanisation, a key driver of growth, has been slower in the NER than the national average, though states like Sikkim, Nagaland, and Tripura show notable progress due to improved infrastructure and policy support. The region’s cultural diversity and geographical isolation create both opportunities and challenges for balanced development.
