Literature published in different sources of information such as journals, articles, magazines, conference proceedings etc, has been collected and presented in the form of a review. It is found that significant research attention is devoted to the selection, adoption and comparison of open source software (OSS) for developing digital libraries. More literature has been published on D Space and greenstone software.
