N2  - Munro Island is located in Kollam district of Kerala where the Kallada river meets the Ashtamudi Lake. It is a place rich in natural beauty, ancient traditions, and tourism. However, recently Munro Island has been facing serious challenges. The land is sinking, saltwater is intruding, fish and brides are disappearing, and frame lands are barely surviving. These changes are significant. This article examines the degradation of nature, the struggles of the local people, and how ecotourism can get out of hand. Mangroves need to be restored. Sand Ming needs to be controlled. Water quality must be mentored. Locals must find new and Sustainable ways to find a livelihood that can cope with climate changing’s. This means that Munro Island needs everyone’s support. While supporting each other, the community can preserve the natural beauty and vitality of the Island. This message is particularly relevant to Kerala’s broader plans to protect the climate, water resources, and local livelihoods, which raw consistent with the sustainable development goals. – Reproduced
