<br/><br/> Though famine and hunger are not modern maladies, it is quite strange and paradoxical that with the sum total of peaking human development and accompanying accomplishments, glories and successes we have failed to prevent human starvation and deaths despite worthwhile efforts world-wide by United Nations and its sister agencies UNDP, UNICEF and ECOSOC.
