<br/><br/> In this article Dr. Arabinda Ghosh has examined the millennium development goals of eradication of poverty, and achievement of universal primary education in the Indian context. He has enquired into the statistical correlations between changes in poverty levels and improvement of female literacy, and drawn conclusions. A case has been made out to increase female literacy in India in a big way through direct interventions. - Reproduced.
